Hi

Would anybody be able to do an electorol look up for 7 Beckford Square Shoreditch for me please 1877-1880.The Surname of the family I'm hoping to find there is Aaron.I was told that Islington Library hold these records but charge £12 a time to look!

Any help would be most appreciated as I am not in the London area

Hi there

I am hoping some one can help,I am looking for help on the electoral registers for the years 1878 to early 1881(before the 1881 census as I have her living in Stourbridge then). The Surname is Aaron at 7 Beckford Square ,St Luke's,London.I am told that Finsbury is the location this would come under. My G,Grandmother was born in 1878, Birth registered in the Registration District of Shoreditch in the Sub-District of Hoxton New Town in the County of Middlesex ,her mother was stated as living at 7 Beckford Square on the birth certificate.I was hoping to find out who else was living at 7 Beckford Square in these years to see if they were in any way connected to me as the rest of my G,Grandmothers siblings seem to have been born in Worcestershire and it seems odd she was born in London ,hence my curiousness to find out maybe if her mother or father were from London.I have contacted the library in that area but as usual they charge for searching and unfortunately I do not live close enough to go there myself to look at the registers.Anyone who could help would be an angel and I would be most grateful of any info that I could gain.
Wishfully ......Woobie.

Warwickshire Lookup Requests / Hatton Asylum

Hi there, new to this so looking for some help.Ive been told a story of one of my ancestors being committed to Hatton Asylum in Warwick,Im not sure how true this story is and was wondering is there any way I can see Hatton records without visiting Warwick Record Office. The girl in question was Emily Brown or Crofts,bc 1891,committed apparently because she was pregnant. All I know is that if it is true she would have been committed after 1901 (as she shows on the census age 9)and Id assume before 1910.I have also been told that she killed some one while in the asylum,I do not know what happened to the child she was carrying or any information at all.Really dont know where to start and I know it could be just a story but I feel compelled to find out what happened to Emily.Any help or suggestions would be really appreciated.
