Armed Forces / Attestation paper John Robinson b 1829

I am looking for the Attestation papers of John Robinson.  From the discharge notice we have found he was 3041 Serjeant John Robinson in the Royal Artillery.  It states he was Attested in Leeds, York on 25th August 1847.  He was discharged on 29th September 1868.

Any information on where I can find this record would be helpful.

Canada Lookup Request / Donald Robertson 1867-1945, Saskatchewan

I am looking for any information post 1906 on my great uncle Donald Robertson, born about 1867 in Scotland, who emigrated to Canada in 1886.  I have found him in the 1891, 1901 and 1906 censuses. He is a farmer in Assiniboia East, Saskatchewan in 1906 and appears to have stock.  I have found that he was apportioned 2 parcels of land and he seems to have made it work.  However after 1906 I can find no record of him.  The last finding that I have is of a gravestone in Wapella, Melville Census Divion, Saskatchewan, which gives the dates 1867 to 1945.  The headstone says 'In Loving Memory' and 'At Rest', so someone must have cared for him, although I believe he was not married, certainly not in 1906. This may or may not be him, but it could fit.

I would be grateful if anyone could give me any information from this area in Saskatchewan.

Can anyone shed some light on a large house in this area named 'Rackets' around about the 1900's.  I am looking for a girl who worked there named Kathleen Haynes born in London in 1897.

Was there such a house, or a house with a similar name?  Any information would be great.

Canada / Donald Robertson born Scotland

I have found Donald Robertson in the 1906 Canadian Census in Assiniboia East District in Saskatchewan.  He was born on 2 April 1867 in Kirkmichael in Perthshire in Scotland.  In the 1906 Census he is unmarried.  Unfortunately I cannot find any further record of him after this time.  Can anyone help with any information?  I would like to know if he married and when and where he died, but I am hitting brickwalls.

Herts Completed Lookup Requests / *COMPLETED* Gravestones Watford St Marys

On Lookup Offers I noticed someone was offering to look up gravestones in this Churchyard.  I would be grateful if someone could tell me if there is the following gravestone:

John Robinson (master boot maker). Born approx 1830 (not found a definite record, but was aged 66 years when he died)
Died on 20th December 1893 at 230 Watford High Street.
Husband of Dorcas Robinson
Father of Jane, Anne, John, Lizzie and George.

Any information would be helpful.

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / Baptism record John Robinson approx 1827-30

Could anyone please help with a baptismal record of John Robinson between 1827 and 1830 who was born in Paddington, London, Middlesex according to later census records.  His father was also John Robinson.  I believe in later years descendants of John Robinson were non-conformists, but this may be a red herring.

Any information would be appreciated.

Hertfordshire / John & Emma ROBINSON

I have found my ancestor John Robinson born about 1828 in Paddington Middlesex in the 1871 Census married to an Emma and living in Watford High Street.  He was a boot maker.  Emma Robinson died in Watford in 1873 aged 35.  John married Dorcas (not Davlus as stated on the 1881 Census) Bolton and was living at the same address until his death in Watford in 1893 aged 66.

I can find no marriage record of Emma and John, but according to the 1871 Census she was born in Hemel Hempstead. 

Any information on Emma or John before 1871 would be appreciated.

I am searching for any record of John Robinson who all Census records say was born in Paddington, Middlesex around 1828/30, father's name was also John Robinson. 

On the 1871 Census he was living in Watford, Herts with first wife Emma (maiden name unknown as I cannot find their marriage).  In 1881 Census he was living at the same address with second wife (Dorcas, recorded as Davlus, nee Bolton).  He died in 1893 in Watford, Hertfordshire.

I would be grateful for any information.
