Hi, I wonder if someone can help me.  I have found the marriage of Mary Ann or Marianne Bruce to Edward Vickers, could someone tell me the details, esp her fathers name and occupation and witnesses?  It is her fathers line that I am stuck on and need some help with and I want to confirm that I have the right link.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you  Jenny

Do not ask for look-ups from commercial sources.
Most commercial sources have strict 'Terms of Use', which forbid publishing their data elsewhere, so asking for such look-ups is also asking people to ignore the 'Terms of Use'.

Hi,

Can someone take a look at the actual record to find out more information for me.  I am looking to see if John was a widower? as I think this could be a second marriage to a women with the same first name (Hannah) as his first wife.

Also if they had any children??

Any help of idea's would be greatly appreciated, thanks Jenny

Suffolk / John Bruce & Hannah Vickers Melford Suffolk
« on: Tuesday 24 February 15 07:52 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,

I have found a marriage on Ancestry (England Select Marriages) for John Bruce and Hannah Vickers on the 7 July 1788 at Melford.  It is just an index and no image.

I wondered if someone could take a look for me, I am hoping it might reveal more details, ie single or widowed, witnesses etc, perhaps middle names or surname spelt differently.

And to see if there are any births for them around that date.

Thank you

Devon / Denny (Dennis) Hill 1923 Puzzle Jug
« on: Thursday 19 February 15 13:50 GMT (UK)  »
I have a Puzzle Jug which has an inscription of "From Grandad to Denny Hill on his birthday 1923" and I was hoping to find his family. On the bottom of the jug it says Barnstable.  It's a longshot but before I sell it on ebay, I just wondered if anyone might know the family, to give them first chance.

Suffolk Lookup Requests / Look up at the Ipswich Records Office
« on: Thursday 08 May 14 08:23 BST (UK)  »
I was wondering if anyone is going to the Ipswich Records Office and could take a look at the Hintlesham records.  I am trying to trace William Rush Bruce b1788 Hintlesham, I think his parents are Hannah & John and he had a brother called John.  I have been unable to trace Williams Baptism and John's.....If there is time....perhaps the marriage of John & Hannah Rush? 1785? and any details which may be relevant....I would be very grateful regards Hotrodpansy

South Africa / William Bruce - Cape of Good Hope 1861
« on: Friday 02 May 14 11:08 BST (UK)  »
I have recently received a copy of my gt gt grandfathers will William Rush Bruce and it states that his son William Bruce is now IN the cape of good hope...no further details, apart from his share of the estate is to be held in a bank in England to await his return.  The will was written in 1861 so his son is already out there.  Has anybody got any ideas as to what he could be doing out there? The son William bruce was born in 1820 in Hintlesham Suffolk and I have found his birth details but nothing more on any of the census's.  Any idea's regards hotrodpansy

Hi....My ancestor Mary Ann Bruce shows on all her census returns as being born in City Road Middlesex and on one of the later census's it says St Luke's.  I have used the old maps to locate this area, which appears to be St Pancras old church.  As she was born in 1814 (give or take a year) I was wondering if somebody could do a look up for me?.  Thank you Hotrodpansy

Suffolk Lookup Requests / Suffolk - William Rush Bruce - Baptism look up please
« on: Friday 04 April 14 16:05 BST (UK)  »
I have William Rush Bruce born 1788 Hintlesham - died March 1870 Ipswich.  I am unable to find his baptism.  Someone on here took a look a few years ago, but couldnt find it for Hintlesham.  I believe his parents were John Bruce & Hannah Rush who married in Hintlesham in October 1785.

If someone could take a look at the surrounding villages for me then it would be appreciated.

Thank you Hotrodpansy
