Thanks.  John Freeman was definitely an Artist as his son Henry's birth cert dated 1840 stated this as hiis profession.  I ordered the marriage cert for 1834 over the telephone at GRO  yesterday and paid for it. I have tried to cancel once I found I wouldnt get more details about John's family. I have all the details on the Edmond family and where Sarah was after the death of John Freeman. Unfortunately I could carry on ordering death certs for John without getting the right year.

Thank you Rosie, yes I have offered both certs on the free BMD site! I may have a third one going on as have just ordered a marriage cert for john Freeman & Sarah Edmonds For the year 1834 and have just been told this will not be a "full" cert with his parents names etc because its too early! Oh dear, I'm not having much luck. Have tried to cancel the Cert but its probably already in the system (ordered yesterday).  I've a lot to learn.  Thanks again Rosie  :-*

Many thanks. The two certs I have are for 1843 and 1844. Both Lambeth but not my John Freeman. The latest one arrived today, and was so disappointed.  So many John Freeman's.  I know Sarah moved around and was a wet nurse or similar for sone years and then died as a widow in 1876 in Trigon Road, Lambeth aged 64 registered by her sister Jane Trevisary.  The death cert. States her husband had been a Lithographic artist.  Thank you for your help. :-*

I have a problem trying to find the death of John Freeman. I have sent for 2 Certs. Which are the wrong ones. His wife was Sarah and her last child Henry was born Dec. 25 1840 who was blind.  John Freeman was missing on the 1841 Census.  He married  Sarah Edmonds in 1834.  How can I find his death without another disappointment? He lived in Lambeth, Surrey in Vauxhall Walk. There were three children on the 1841 census. Thanks

I ordered a death certificate and it wasn't my John Freeman. This JF died 07/05/43 in Waterloo second part, Surrey (34 Gibson St).  He was a Cheesemonger.  Anyone interested can have this for free as my JF died in Lambeth.
