Hi, I wonder if anyone knows what information can be seen on the Wigmore School records. I can see on the 1881 census a George Jones born 1868 Darlaston, I need to be able to prove he's the George Jones I'm looking for.
Thanks for any help

Hi billfly. Thank you both for your reply.
One reply I had about Hartington Road was.... Buxton was a spa town and had several Hydropathic Hotels - I know there was one on Hartington Rd originally named Malvern House  in 1899 it was renamed Buxton Hydropathic and at the outbreak of WW1 became a military hospital. So that bit of info might help you.

Thank you for your reply. Georges occupation was a Iron Moulder, He did marry again in Buxton to a Hetty Bolshaw and his brother in law married Hetty's sister Florence Bolshaw they are all buried in Burbage Church Cemetery.

Hi Heatherjulie, thanks for your reply, I had all ready done that, i was wanting to find out a bit more detail about  the plot with it having 8 people in. i also interested in finding out how much a plot would cost in 1852. It might be  impossible to find out the answers but i thought I would just ask.

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me.... I've done burial records search for Manchester General Cemetery and found 8 people in the same grave which are all family. The first in is Frances Cooper in 1852, I'm presuming that it could be a private family grave. How can I find out more information about who bought the plot, the rules and regulations back then, how much it would have cost etc,.
Any help would be appreciated.
Jacqueline.

Staffordshire / Re: Help needed to find out what happened to the Jones family after 1871
« on: Thursday 15 November 18 11:14 GMT (UK)  »
Hi Willow, I've find a 1881 census for Mary Jones widow living at The Green Darleston with her family. I've gone back and found the 1871 census and she is married to Samuel Jones Bricklayer so that matches the death cert I bought so I'm going to delete this family from my tree as My Samuel was at home with his family in 1871.

Mary J Jones living in Normanton I'm not sure about her yet as I can see quite a few Mary J Jones born about the same age as my Mary in Darleston.

This family is driving me mad but they will be found one day.

Thank you for your help

Jacqueline
