WW1 In Memoriam / 8th April 1916, Edward Dawson Age 28, RFA 46th Bat 39th Bde

Corporal 69560 memorial Noeux-les-Mines, France.  He was noted as a gunner but he was also a shoeing smith.  He was from Preston in Lancashire.

Edward married my Grandmother Lucy Drake in 1912 and had two sons.  When Edward died my grandmother was 26 and her sons aged 2 & 3 years old.  She kept a photo of the grave in France and I also have letters which they wrote to each other when they were courting.  So sad.  Lucy did remarry and had two daughters one of which was my mother.

Could anyone point me in the right direction I am looking for a James Ernest Mulligan born 1889 in Preston, Lancashire.  He is not on the 1911 census any ideas as to where I may be able to locate him, thanks. :)

My husbands grandfather Allan Brown served in the Royal Engineers as a Sapper No:7336 he was born in Clitheroe and living in Preston, Lancs.  He received three medals, Victory, British War Medal and 1914-15 star.

I am looking for any information as to where he may have served.
