hello

Did you get any further on Private Williams 14502, I ask because I am currently building a file for one of the Welsh Regiments museums and would be interested in any more detail you might have concerning him.

Thank you
Phil

Hello

I work for one of the Museums that represents the Welsh Regiment. In my spare time I am trying to find as much information on members of the regiment, in order to create files on them to go into the archive for future generations.

I am currently working off CWWG so am really interested in men who survived WW1 as I dont have lists to work from

So if you have a relative who served in the regiment

I am looking for any photographs, letters, etc

So if you have any information concerning the regiment I want it for the files, the smallest thing Im interested in. if you have an object concerning the Regiment, I would also be interested in photos of it.

thank you for reading this and I hope this thread brings to light some stories

Philip

If your looking to have research done into a member by the museum then I urge you to get in touch with the curators

Hi Miss muddle

I work for one of the museums that represent the Welsh regiment and was wondering if you could send a copy of the letter for the archive?

As for Lance Corporal Lewis end I would suggest that he died in the hospital due to complications of his illness. If he died within 24 hours of his letter then the likely hood is that he died in hospital, also the fact that he is the only member of the welsh to Die on that day in that theatre of war would hint at that outcome. The KIA label may have been added for his family, some officers believed that it would comfort the families. I cant be 100% certain about this but I would say its a best guess with the current information.

as its against the rules of this forum I cant supply an email but you can contact us through our website which I will add at the bottom

Thanyou
Philip
