Louis Napoleon (AKA "John") Born 2 January 1878. Died October 21 1959.
Marceline Gaudette born June 6 1877 (she was a year older than Gran Pa). She died on March 27 1957. her birth year is not right on the original post.
They married on August 16 1897 - almost 120 years from the date I am posting this.
They had 11 children - not all of whom made it to adulthood.

And yes, both the Labatte's and the Gaudette's were Metis. We are not related to the Labatt's of the beer (although Gran pa dropped the final "te" from his name early in the last century. He used to say he was the John Labatte who drank the beer, not the John Labatt that made it.
