Whimbell with that exact spelling dont come up in searches on Ancestry much
For that particular baptism ancestry has transcribed the mother's name as Maria Whimbele and as maria Columbell

Update to this old thread: I have now found a mysterious Mary Ann Calendon, discharged from St Pancras Workhouse aged 1 week on 29 Dec 1856 “taken out by friends”. Nothing more.
It’s slim pickings with these people!
