Benjarmin Buck 5 months
father James Buck age 43 born Guist Norfolk
mother Jane age 40 born Scoulthorpe Norfolk
plus 7 other siblings

1851 HO/107/1826 Clipson farm Little Ryburgh

let me know if you need any more info from this entry

Regards Ray

Thanks for your reply. My Benjamin was born in either Terrington or Tilney Norfolk in 1852 so is not listed on the 1851 census. On the 1851 census the family were living at "Windmill" Tilney. Benjamins parents were Charles and Frances (nee Moy), and the children listed are Mary, Charles, Elizabeth, John and Margaret. On the 1881 census, Charles Snr. was living at Terrinton, Norfolk. Benjamin moved to the East End of London some time prior to 1673 where he married Matilda Haines.

I have two Benjamin Buck's on file my direct ancestor born c 1778 I believe Norfolk and his grandson born 1868 over the border in Suffolk at Aldeburgh,  Benjamin senior married Frances Flowers at Morley St Peters in 1802 and the family lived at Great Ellingham where they had at least 5 children, after the marriage no other family events, births or burials appear in that areas parish registers so I can only assume that the Bucks were non comformists, nonconformity being very strong in that area of Norfolk, due to the first name of Benjamin of your ancestor do you know the parish of his birth?

Thanks for your reply. My Benjamin was born in either Tilney or Terrington Norfolk in 1852. He was one of six children born to Charles and Frances (nee Moy) Buck. I can only go back as far as Charles Buck who was born in Houghton, Norfolk in 1815. Charles was a Harness Maker and on the 1881 cencus was still living in Terrington, Norfolk.

Hi,
I don't know the Wiltshire area but my relatives Joseph Watley Hobbs who married Eliszabeth Ball lived at 127 Clay Street in Crckerton Wiltshire around 1849. They also lived around the Longbridge area. I gather that Hobbs is a fairly popular name around that area so I don't know if this will help you. I have a little more information if it does.

I am trying to locate any descentants of Benjamim Buck, born in either Tilney or Terrington,Norfolk 1852 and died 12 July 1907 at Mile End London. Benjamin's parents were Charles and Frances (nee Moy). Other children in the family were Mary, Charles, Elizabeth, John and Margaret.  Benjamin moved to the East End of London prior to 1873 and was married to Matilda Haines. Their children were Jessie b 1875, Arthur b 1878, Frederick b 1880, Henry b 1881, Alf b 1884 and Thomas b 1887.
