Glamorganshire / Re: Willcox Family, Bridgend

There were a few very close to Sarn all of which I believe had closed by the 1920's after that the most likely ones would be those in the 3 nearby valleys (which were numerous), I have seen a local map somewhere on line that shows all of them but unfortunately haven't got a link.

China - Thanks, I was hoping for a date which could be 1927, the Dad of the family died that year and it seems likely that the whole family would be together for a while.  It was taken in West Somerset and one of the men lived in Glamorgan with his own wife and 5 children so would have thought that visits home were few and far between.  Thanks again

Thanks to both of you for trying - I tries to re-size it (been fiddling around for ages, not too good at this sort of thing :-[)

If no improvement can be be made I would be happy with an approx. date.

Thanks for the replies and the great clean-ups.

So it can't be the person I thought it was, he died in 1903 - anyone any ideas of his age?

The photo is on glass, nothing on the back, can't post a different image as the original has been put away "too safe", been looking for it for about 6 months >:(

I'm now wondering if he is a son of the person I thought it was or even another great grandfather, the original photo was in the house that was bought by  Evan (1843-1903) in the 1880's, he brought up two sons and two step sons in that house only one which I can trace after the 1911 census.

A rough age may rule out his own sons b. 1879 & 1881 any help appreciated.

Hi, I think I know who this might be but not sure, the person I think it is was born 1843, does this match up?
Any help to restore/advise appreciated.

Thanks, another one to add to my collection, they are all so good and I am amazed and gratelful for amount of replies to this thread, just wish my Mum was still around to see this, even as an older women she was lucky enough to be almost wrinkle free and her eyes spoke volumes - she could squash you with a look or show so much love with them.  I have her eyes, just wish I had her nose and mouth too, the eyes just don't give the same expression with a big nose and small mouth - thanks Dad ;D
