Sharon,

Hi Bradley Boal from Australia...
I am in the middle of a family research project based on BOAL.
So I noted your post.
To help you Emerald Ancestors notes
Robert L Boal married Ellen Jane Costley 2 Jun 1893 at  Belfast Civil Registrars Office Shankill Belfast...Antrim

If they are Down Boals they would have been Presbyterian originally.. Scotch Irish settlers arrived in Ireland after 1613. Name was Bole in Scotland..

Couldnt find Robert Leach Boals birth, The wedding certificate can be bought thru GRO in Ireland forr about 10 pounds. That will give you the parents names..
If you want facts online irish origins may be quicker but costs more in  the long run.

I have just started

i found a Mary Jane Costley born 5 Oct 1871 in Crumlin Antrim to a Mary Costley.

I would be interested to know Robert Boal father as it may link into our tree as well.

Hope this is helpful..

Yes Scotland relative son the tree. Not many and a lot tehre.. BOAL BOLE BOLL
History says we cam e from Bual Spain... On Armada wrecked in Scotland and took the name Boal, but..
Apparently he named himseld Boal and it went form there. He is called Adam Boal...
I have my doubts, some Dna testing has stated Bowles from Uk are a close match so who knows..
I would be happy to get back to Robert Bole in Downpatrick 1613...in a tree.
I am 100 years off still.
Sent another 5 letters to Ireland today 60 to go.. Then Scotland.
Interestingly the scottish version Bole has almost died out...

Jg,

Recently wrote to every listed Boal in the TLS white pages. Non litsed in Tasmania. If you find any can you let me know..

By the way, I now know about 25% of Aust Boals in 2 weeks..
I am happy with that result. considering how poor / slack people can be...

Off  now..

AG,

Thats correct , and I talk to Ros direct.
I am going to have about 100 more Boal entries added. At this stage I have built tree from Francis down.. Its speads far and wide. However, to build it more I need contact with fellow researchers , that is what I am after.
I have the contacts and have looked quite hard.
I know Francis was at Gilnakirk P in 1798 Granshaw P 1800-1805 & Ballyblack P 1810- Children baptised at Ballyblack , Gilnakirk no use no records that far back.

He was strongly Presb. I am looking for a Family Bible that cousins say exist, and would be in Ireland still..
May be the only way to link families up earlier than 1760.

Thats what the filters delete.. So never see it anyway...
They can post me as much as they like...

I just want to contact fellow Boal researchers.. I represent a consortium of 25 people whom have done a lot of work. There must be more around, thats all I am after.
