Dublin / Patrick Curran, how to find his previous marraige
« on: Wednesday 27 February 19 21:00 GMT (UK)  »
Guys,

I am struggling to find a Patrick Curran's previous marriage.

He married Rose Garvey in 1931 in Dublin and on the marriage certificate it states he was a widower and he was roughly 39. He was born in 1893 in Trim and then is on the census records in Westport Mayo with his dad John Curran a Railway Gate keeper and Bridget Kelly his mother. His father died in 1903 and in 1911 he is on the census with his mother and family.

I cannot find a marriage for him were his wife dies... Patrick was a carpenter, if any one can find a John as a father and a Railway worker who would have been deceased it would be great..

I don't know if I am looking at Mayo or Dublin for this first marriage. I know it is after 1911 and his second marriage is in 1931. Where was he for 20 years.

Any help is appreciated.

Can anyone please help me with this name. It looks like the father of the bride and the priest had the same first name. Something Fox or something Farrelly.

Guys looking at that headstone does it mean that there five children, Matilda, Christina, Mary, Thomas and James died? or are they alive?

My aunt lives right across the road for the last 40 years from this graveyard and never knew her GG Grandfather is buried right beside her

Guys,

Thank you so much for finding the grave of Daniel, I would never have found that in Drumcondra and I am not sure why he was buried there when they lived on the southside, Blackrock usual...

But this is smashing, I haven't looked at this in months, with young children I cannot find the time to do this anymore.. Thanks so much I will have to pop out to Drumcondra.

Hi Ion, Ann Marie,

Sorry i am only seeing this post now. unfortunately i couldnt find any connection between Ann Marie's Mills and our Mills they dont seem to have the same names carried down through generations which usually links families. Maybe its a lot further back then we have records for.

Nice to talk again

Look at a map and the corner where accommodation road and easton road meet this area is called greenlane by most people from Leixlip to the left and right of the area
