Hi again,

If you have access to F..M..P, check their newspaper holdings ... you should be able to find the Winnipeg Free Press and some Brandon papers there.

E and Mr Parochoski were married on Sept 20, 1947 at St Mary's Cathedral Winnipeg.

Thomas Stamper, who died on June 16 1940, drowned.

Joseph William Stamper died in Brandon on Nov 23 1986 (in case you don't have the full date)

Hi,

RIchard R Russell's obit is in the Toronto Star - 10 Oct 1952, page 35.  He lived at 2122 Gerrard St East.   He died on Oct 10th.  He was 68 years old.  His wife Lucrece is mentioned.  No kids mentioned.  It also says that he was survived by 2 brothers and 2 sisters in Scotland.  Unfortunately, they aren't named.... but, hopefully, this information can help determine whether or not this is your man :)

Hi,

His obituary is in the Lethbridge Herald - Dec 24, 1970, page 25.  If you have a subscription to FindMyPast, you might be able to get this.  It is in the US/Canada newspaper collection.  It mentions his mother Ila, his daughter Miss L P Koenen of Australia, his sister B (Mrs W Garner) of Seattle and his brother S B Koenen of Edmonton.   No mention of wife...  Ivan died on Dec 23.  It says he was born in Lethbridge, but lived in Victoria for most of his life.  He came back to Lethbridge in 1966.

PS - marriage announcement has a photo.  Edward St Dennis gave her away, and Evelyn was the bridesmaid.

I am trying to track down a Daniel born in 1894 and I can`t find him.  I think maybe he has a different last name.  Thank you for your help.  J

HI,

Cosmac mentioned the Daniel who died in Winnipeg on 19 Oct 1932 age 38.  I had a quick look through you other post and I didn't see his obit.. so in case you don't have it, it is in the Winnipeg Free Press on Oct 20, 1932, page 4.

Daniel was Assistant Freight Claim agent for the CPR (Canadian Pacific Railway) at Winnipeg.  He died on Oct 19 in Winnipeg.  He was born in Glasgow on Oct 27, 1894.  He came to Canada with his parents in 1903.  He went to school in Winnipeg, and started work with the CPR in 1909.   He worked for them in Winnipeg for 9 years, then was transferred to Calgary.  He remained there until 1924, then was promoted and transferred to Winnipeg.  He got his present job in 1926.  He is survived by his widow (not named), his parents Mr and Mrs Peter Shields of Winnipeg.  His sister Mrs D H Brand of Winnipeg.  6 brothers, Peter and Andrew of Calgary, James of Chicago, Alex of Regina and Harry and David of Winnipeg.
