Amador Co & Sacramento Co border each other.

According to the CA Death Index, George died in Sacramento County, not specifically the town of Sacramento. Place of death is listed as 34, which is the code for Sacramento County.

The town, Plymouth, mentioned in the article is less than 15 miles from the Sacramento/Amador County line.

--- George Hurl, probably the ablest carpenter and joiner in the County, has been busy for several months remodeling and practically rebuilding the old Commercial Hotel at Plymouth for its present owner Sam Adams, who expects to open it up soon. Hurl came to this Coast under engagement at the time the Palace Hotel in San Francisco was constructed, and shortly after that building was completed, came to Amador County to live. He built the bar in Thos. Morris’ saloon in Plymouth many years ago, and it is still among the finest in Amador County, but that in Adams's new house will be as good as the best anywhere.

I have found the burial of a Sallie Taggart in 1902 in North Cedar Hill Cemetery, same cemetery as Harrison Taggart, brother to Sarah's husband William Hart Taggart. Sallie's dob unknown. It is possible to be Sarah nee Watterson who married William Hart Taggart in 1874 but we can't be sure as yet until we have further info.

There appears to be 2 memorials for her. The other has the details.
