A possible family member & it would help me greatly if RC members would help me with the following:-

1. notes for this photo say taken by W C Bristow of Worthing 19 Chapel Road. Firm was trading from this studio between 1898-1918. Can we get a more accurate date for this photo?

2. Age of lady?

3. is she were a mourning dress?

Thanks for looking

This is a photo on a 'divided back' postcard & may be of a family member.

It would help if I could get an approx date of the photo & any views on the young lady's age are welcome - I am guessing 18/19?

On the reverse of the card it says 'To dear Edie - From May with love xxx'

Edward Bex operated a photography business from around 1905 until about 1920, at 20 New Street, Worthing, under the name of "Edwards & Son" - his blind stamp is in the bottom right hand corner

I am wondering if it may be a sweetheart photo for a WW1 soldier - is she holding 'forget me not flowers'?

Thanks for looking

I have tried to decipher the message as best I can & here is what I have so far:-

I would be grateful if someone with better French than me could decipher & translate the last line of the attached postcard. I have:-

'jespere que vous vous? ?????? et le vous? ??????

seem to be too many you (vous)

This picture which includes my uncle who has a driver dates from 1938 - tricky but can someone see if they can remove the centre crease line & tone down white light band?

Any improvement would be great.

« on: Thursday 04 October 18 14:40 BST (UK)  »
I'm back with another family photo - my great aunt Emily in her back garden with sons Ted & Frank.

It would be lovely to see this photo in colour.

I know how brilliant the restorers on here are & I'm wondering if this photo, which has seen better days, can be repaired.

Any improvement would be greatly appreciated.
