I have the death certificate of my G-G-G granny, Jane Wilson or McDonald, who was born around 1822 in Sanquhar, Dumfriess-shire. In it, her reputed father is named as George McDonald but her mother is named Jane Wilson, widower of James McDonald. It looks to me like George & James must have been related and i'd love to know a bit more about them. I have the death certificate of James McDonald but unfortunately it doesnt list his parents names. I cant find anything on George McDonald. Anyone have any tips on how to proceed?
