Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

I think you are searching after the date that marriages and births are currently available online at ScotlandsPeople (births to 1904, marriages to 1929, deaths to 1954).  You might wish to consult the GROS website which will probably have information about how to obtain later records.  It is at:
http://www.gro-scotland.gov.uk/

Perhaps some kind soul will be going to (say) New Register House in Edinburgh and will do a lookup for you (very recent records can be consulted there ).  Otherwise it might be necessary to employ a researcher ...
