Ballyclogh or Ballyclough (Irish: Baile Cloch, meaning 'town of the stones') is a small village 8 km outside Mallow, County Cork, Ireland. The name Ballyclogh has its origins in the past abundance of stone quarries in the area.

Nicholas Thompson b1838 Head
Mary Thompson b1837 Wife
Patrick Clifford b1859 Step Son
Elizabeth Thompson b1864 Daughter (I think this is my Elizabeth)
Philip Thompson b1865 Son
Matthew Thompson b1868 Son
Holey (Holly) Thompson b1870 Son
Mary Thompson b1874 Daughter
Nicholas J Thompson b1876 Son
Sarah J Thompson b1879 Daughter

Mary seems to have a bit of an identity problem.  The surname is DALY for the baptism/birth of Elizabeth and Nicholas, and CONNELL for the others.  She married Nicholas as CONNELL in 1862 so may not have been married to Patrick CLIFFORD, the father of her son.
