« on: Friday 18 November 05 02:25 GMT (UK) »
Im looking for information on James Grant/family, born in approx. 1829, parents were Alexander Grant/Jane.........
Married Mary Seaton 1856
And passed in 1884 by drowning.
He would be my gg/grandfather.

John was born in 1865/kinnaird, married Mary Matheson in 1885, had 3 children, James, Jessie Isabella and Elizabeth.  Looking for information on the children as well as parents.  James immigrated to USA in early 1900's   Jessie and Elizabeth are unaccounted for.

Hello,

I think this query is on the wrong board.

I don't know of a Kinnaird (Place)in Kincardineshire, unless it's a farm and then we'd need to know where the farm is.

I have looked at maps there is a place called Kinnaird near Pitlochry but that is Perthshire and there is a "Kinnaird castle" near Brechin but that is Angus.

All I can contribute is that John Grant was born 15 Aug 1865, Kinnaird, By Errol, Perth, and married Mary Matheson in 1885 in Dennistoun district, Glasgow City.
