Just wanted to say hello

I've just joined you here, someone from another board I visit recommended you guys to me  .

I'm Janice - 41, stay just outside Glasgow.

I'm very, very new to all of this family research business.

I was going through my dogs pedigrees one day and it struck me that I knew more of their parentage than I knew of my own - and it all started from there.

I'm doing OK in a couple of areas, but my biggest stumbling block so far has been that of my maternal grandfather.

I believe he was born in Ireland, but I have very little to go on - so I'm hoping some people here may be able to point me in the right direction, and perhaps some days help me see the woods for the trees.

So - nice to meet you all - and I'll do my best to ask the down right thick

Hi, you go to the Irish section. I think, i dont have any Irish rellies....that i know yet anyway..LoL
If its for people in Britain you post under the relevant counties.
