Hi - this is my first post on Rootschat.com. I, along with some Fleming cousins are trying to find out some information about our Fleming ancestors who came from Ireland to the Barrie, Ontario part of Canada sometime between 1847 and 1852. John Fleming and Isabella Blakely married, we guess, in Ireland and their first child George Fleming was born in either Londonderry or County Tyrone in 1844. Another son, James (Thomas) was born in January 1847. Two more children were born in Ontario in 1852 and 1855. We have no idea where John died. Isabella is listed as a widow in Ontario's 1881 census. She died in Barrie, Ontario in 1883.
In addition, John Dunn, born in County of Monaghan, September 1802 and Lavinia Carr, born June 1812 in Ireland married and their fifth child, Eliza Dunn was born in Barrie, Ontario in 1845. Eliza married George Fleming on October 06, 1874.
