I know nothing else about her apart from her death in 1909

Have you tried www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk for the 1861 and 1871 censuses? The 1851 one is due to be available on that site in Jan/Feb 2006.

Thanks, I've spent a fortune on that site and find it difficult to locate people. Hoped this might be a better alternative

Could it be the entry on the 1861 census under Heatherwick? Margaret  aged 12 ?

Went to look up the censuses on Ancestry and a tree owner wjrs43 came up.  I take that is your tree wjrs43. 
I would say it has everything that  Laurina is looking for.
