Thanks again for your input, particulary to Helen. That link was very interesting. It seems that wheel chairman were also involved in transporting people, just as flymen were.

Did you ever find out what a wheelchairman did? My ancester gave this as his occupation and he lived at Cheltenham Mill - might be a clue there - in 1911.
