1841 Census
« on: Monday 23 January 06 12:19 GMT (UK) »
Thought I'd post this here in case it helps anyone else.
Found this on the Merthyr Tydfil Library  site

Please note, the records for Dowlais in 1841 are missing.

Now I know why I can't find any of mine! ;D

Well that explains a lot for me too.  My Griffiths family should have been in the Dowlais area in 1841 as their children were born there.  I couldn't find them in Glamorgan, Monmouthshire or Breconshire.  So they probably, they were in Dowlais all the time  ::)

Thanks for the info. Newbie -I think I will stop despairing about them for a while.
