Michael Brennan

Hi, I'm a first-time visitor to the site.  I know very little about my Irish ancestry because once I became interested in it a few years back, the person who might've known anything, my grandma, had died.

Anyway, my Mom always said we were from County Mayo, and she knew the name Ballysakeery.   Problem is, she didn't know if that was her mom's side or dad's side, so I can't be sure if the following info pertains to Ballysakeery, or even Mayo.

Here's what I know for sure (provided a death certificate here in the USA is accurate).  John Brennan was born in Ireland in 1820 to Michael and Mary M. Brennan.  John married a Margaret (last name unknown) who was born in Ireland in 1826.  I don't know if John and Margaret married in Ireland or the USA,   but by 1856 they were in America because that was the birth of their first child.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Tom
