Yes - I wondered why choose a surname like Ketch.  I even had the wild idea that it may have been her mothers maiden name so I looked for Ketch/Linsey marriages from 1863 but found nothing.

I'm 99.9% certain he was illegitimate.  If she was a widow, she would have re-married as Ketch, not Linsey
