Sewell birth in Preston

I wonder can some one tell me how to finde a birth I have my great grandfathers death cert which gives his age as 58 when he died 1888 which means he was born 1829-1830 on the 1851 Carlisle census he gives his place of birth Preston Lancs ocupation Cotton spinner  I have tried the IgI he is listered no where apart from various census in Carisle up to his death

This has just come back on the listing but was first posted in 2004. 

I wonder if they found the information  ???
