Hi Pughy,

It's been a long time since your post but I'm new to RootsChat.  Do you know if James Mooney might have ended up in Dublin?  I have an ancestor named James Mooney, my ggggrandfather, born around the same time as yours, but I'm not sure where he was born.  His daughter married a man fresh from Kildare (Monasterevin), so I wonder whether the families knew each other.  Here's what I know:

James Mooney b. abt 1825
m. Frances Marshall around 1852
d. 23 Aug 1893; cause of death dropsy, interred by son James Mooney at Glasnevin

           My James Mooney was married to a Mary ?? according to the Census 1861,1871,1881,1891 1901, in Kildare Ireland,Again going by the Census and when the children were Born they moved to Manchester {Denton} between 1848 & 1858.
Unfortunately I do not think there is any link.
