Death Lookup : Webster Fleming
« on: Monday 05 June 06 16:07 BST (UK) »
If anyone is going to New Register House, would you please do a lookup for me ?
Webster was born to William and Barbara Fleming in 1879 in Bathgate. He married Bella Gray in Cambusnethan in 1900. In the 1901 census they were living in Broxburn, Uphall. Their daughter, Isabella was born in 1902 in Broxburn. His occupation on all the certs I have is given as Pawnbroker's Manager.
I'm assuming that he died after 1955, as I can't find him on SP. I would be grateful for as much information on his death as possible, please. Thank you.

Just thought I'd add a postscript to my post.
Webster's great-grandson contacted me after seeing my post on Talking Scot. Is seems that Webster & family went to Canada, settling in Saskatchewan.
He enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force, fought in the Great War.
He took up farming on his return and was postmaster for a while in Gravesend. His wife, Bella died and he married Mary Cockshott. He died in Sask in 1952.
