could this be a confusion of 2 generations as both father and son are called James Henry Renfrey? They are certainly being elusive on the 1891 and 1901 census. There are other Renfrey births registered Pontypridd around that time.
Clarissa May 1Q 1894 11a 495 - her death is reg 4Q 1896 11a 283
Beatrice Maud 3Q 1896 11a 510
Agnes 4Q 1896 - she's not theirs as I've found her on 1901 with father Richard
John Henry 3Q 1898 11a 537
Ivor Rhys F 4Q 1901 11a 463
Edith May 3Q 1905 11a 533 (yours definitely)
Catherine Ann 3Q 1906 11a 537
Susannah Jane 2Q 1908 11a 586.
Of course, the rest of these might belong to the other brothers on the 1881 census. Do you have your grandmother's birth certificate which would give occupation for her father or the marriage certificate for her parents which would give his age? If you don't, it would be worth getting them as otherwise there's too much guesswork involved.
Looks like Rhys has found them as I was typing - but Catherine looks rather old to have another child in 1905. Also which James married in 1893?
