DEATH
« on: Tuesday 20 June 06 13:48 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find the death of Edward Moodie Morrison who probably died in Bronte (now part of Oakville), Ontario, Canada after 1927 but before 1940. He was accidently shot and bled to death. Edward, known as Eddie was born in Berwick upon Tweed, Northumberland, England on 29 June 1912.

You're welcome, Sirus!

Since his death was so dramatic and tragic, I'm guessing it must have been written up in the local newspaper.

Good luck!

Your very welcome :)  I noticed I mistyped one thing below.  It should be 'reason for operation' not 'reason for autopsy' as I have typed. Sorry about that! Truly, Rhondda

Hi Sirus,

Don't know if you have figured this out already, but those Paler? place names in the registration that Rhondda transcribed for you should I think be Palermo.  This is a village that is now part of the town of Oakville.

"In 1962 the town of Oakville merged with its neighbouring villages (Bronte, Palermo, Sheridan, and Trafalgar) to become the new Town of Oakville."

Edward doesn't seem to be found in any of the Halton County genealogy databases though...

Thanks, I deduced it was Palermo. Edward was working on a farm in Bronte belonging to the Ingleharts.
