Where was William Whittaker in 1891?

I am trying to find William Whittaker (Whitteker, Whittager) in 1891, can anyone help please?

He could have been in Ireland still but also possible was in Ireland somewhere!

He was born in 1884 in Ireland and I know he was in Scotland in 1901 age 19 (although he would have been about 17).

He married in Port Glasgow in 1905 and died in Greenock in 1931.

I don't know how, when  or where he would have left to get to Scotland from Ireland, but so far I have only found him in Greenock or Port Glasgow.

Although possibly found his father who died in Ayr in 1900.

Any help or info. would be great.
