Hannah Glen born about 1875
« on: Monday 18 September 06 22:18 BST (UK) »
Hi,

Trying to find a Hannah Glen, born around 1875 in England. Her parents were John Glen and Hannah Strain. Other than that, I have no idea where.

Hannah Glen married William James on 25 Aug 1899 in Airdrie, New Monkland, Scotland.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
Alan James

That does seem to be the most likely one.  Her birth is on the freebmd indexes - Apr/May/Jun 1875, district Houghton Le Spring, Hannah Glen, volume 10a page 643

As the eldest child of John and Hannah, Mary, was born in Scotland and so were they, I'd suggest looking over at Scotlandspeople for the marriage of John Glen and Hannah Strain - the marriage does appear to be indexed on the IGI over at familysearch:

John Glen to Hannah Strain, New Monkland, Lanark, Scotland, 22 Aug 1861.
and Mary Glen born to John Glen and Hannah Strain, New Monkland, Lanark, Scotland, 26 May 1862.

It looks like John took his family over the border for a while - presumably for work - but Hannah, at least, and probably other members of the family, returned to their hometown of New Monkland later on.
