" Moody " Stonemasons 1800's
« on: Sunday 22 October 06 06:31 BST (UK) »
My GGD & many Moody men I have come across which I havent been able to connect yet to came from the Kyloe area & were masons . Would they have belonged to any "society "? They seem to have travelled even to the Channel Isles in 1861 c & also working in 1871 on the Carlisle Settle Railway . Who would their employer have been ? Family mention seems to be ?? firm in Marske /Loftus area . Has anyone any ideas . The name is quite common surely there would be " Moody's" still around the area ? Im in Oz can anyone help ?
