Looking for any information on the Mitchell family from Foudoun, Kincardine.  John Mitchell married
Catherine (Katherine) Lyall on 5 Mar 1780 in Arbuthnot, Kincardine and 11 Mar 1780 in Fordoun, Kincardine.  There son George Mitchell born 22 Mar 1789 moved to Skene, Aberdeen where he married Mary Hogg (Parents unknown)
They had two other sons that I know of...David &
James.

There are no other children showing for John and Catherine other than the 3 you have including George in 1789:

1. DAVID MITCHELL  Christening: 27 JUN 1784 Arbuthnott, Kincardine, Scotland
2. JAMES MITCHELL  Christening: 15 APR 1786 Arbuthnott, Kincardine, Scotland

The two dates that you have for the parents' marriage would refer to the Banns being read for the marriage in two different parishes (probably where each of them came from/were living prior to the marriage).
