1841 Wrexham ED's
« on: Sunday 17 December 06 08:48 GMT (UK) »
Does anyone have access to the 1841 Wrexham ED's.

I am still looking for my family

I am looking for a family called Turner who were all christened around Hamner from 1788 to 1834 but cannot find them in the 1841 Hamner Census, the father William is described as a tailor on all the information I have.  So now I am spreading my wings to Wrexham because I have found a death for a Jane Turner in 1839 in Wrexham and William Turner in 1844 in Wrexham.

So can any kind peson look up in the 1841 Wrexham census

William Turner (b) Bettisfield 1788
Jane ?? whom I think has died in 1839 in Wrexham
Ann (b) 1820 - Bettisfield
Jane (b) 1822 - Bettisfield
Martha (b) 1824 - Bettisfield
Emma (b) 1826 - Bettisfield
Elizabeth (b) 1829 - Bettisfield
William  (b) 1831 - Bettisfield
Harriet (b) 1834 - Bettisfield

I also know that William the son who was born 1831 Bettisfield appears on the 1851 in Shut End, Stafford (which is Dudley) today and he was married in 1850 but I cannot find any of the others?

Please help solve this mystery.  Hanmer marriage records and birth records for these dates have been destroyed in a fire so I cannot find out if his sisters got married there.

Best wishes
Dorey

William Turner 1788, Hanmer, Flintshire
William Turner 1831, Bettisfield, Hanmer, Flintshire

Unless they lived in part of the Wrexham Town Centre Dorey,I am afraid most of the Wrexham Area Census for 1841 is missing. Those of us researching in the area are finding it a real struggle having to do without this perhaps pivotal resource.
