Hi Trish, Thank you for your kind offer. Will you please look up Elizabeth Cole, who travelled on the Charlotte.
Thank you
Regards, Irene

Hello Irene

It appears there was a little confusion re the name Elizabeth Cole on the first fleet - as there may have been two of them. Mollie seems to have clearly decided who was who - with your Elizabeth ending up in Tasmania via Norfolk Is. I so feel for the first NI settlers - they worked so hard & achieved much & the British Govt forced them to leave it all & start again, when many of them were well into their 50s.

I will PM the details in the not too distant future

regards

Trish

Hi

Just thought I would throw this question into the ring.  Is the 'Lady Juliana' considered part of the First Fleet or Second Fleet?  ::) Seems to me she was betwixt and between.

I found it that way as well Bob - it arrived after the first & just before the 2nd, but has been documented as part of the 2nd Fleet (probably correctly as it came in response to a request from Gov Phillip for women for the Colony). Did I mention to you the definitive book on same by Michael Flynn - brilliant!
