I hope these Desertmartin websites will be helpful to some RootsChatters. I've included the Farming Group site as I feel it may help to paint a better picture of the area. I don't know about these particular farms but many farms tend to be in the hands of one family for generations. The farms may not have been in the area for 400 years but one of the local bars has been there for that length of time.
