Coakes Family
« on: Sunday 04 February 07 18:07 GMT (UK) »
??? I would like to find out more about my maternal grandfather Arthur Samuel Coakes, and as the only thing I know for certain was he married my gran Elsie May Glen I would like to do this by getting a wedding certificate.  I think they married 1934

I think mum said he died of perentinitis; if I got the death certificate would it give the cause of death; so I could have something to check it against?

Where was I/ where am I going wrong?  I've just done a search based on what I know to be there telling it to put up all results and it is still telling me there isn't anything - this doesn't bode well for other searches I might undertake.

Are you trying to rely on the incomplete freebmd indexes?

Well I can get all the censuses as I am a paid up member so I assume I get the complete BMD index as well, is there any way I could check?
