Wilma, apologies for butting in  ::) What do you mean your quota is up for PMs?

Maybe click on the 'report to moderator' and get someone to check for you? As one who has just deleted hundreds of PMs to clear my decks  :o (sorry admin, must try harder!) I've never had that problem. PMs are an important part of RC, which is why I asked.

Just sent you a message and seems to have worked this time.   Been trying for ages!

I think I have figured out the potential problem Wilma. From RC help notes on PMs:

In general, there is no limit to the number of PMs you may send or receive,
(although we do hope you will empty your Inbox and Outbox regularly)....that's me in the bad books  ::)

New members must make at least three postings before being allowed to use the PM facility.
If you are sending PMs to new members who have less than three posts you will receive an error message, that your limit, or allowed number has been reached. (note that it says your limit, although it actually refers to the recipient.)

Are you getting this message only when trying to PM Richard perhaps?

Yes and he only had one post.   Can understand the problem now.   However just tried sending him one again and it seems to have worked.

Many thanks

Wilma

I am researching the DUNIPACE family in Edinburgh.   Robert Dunipace married Margaret Nimmo 1827 Canongate.   Robert was a baker and died before 1851 when Margaret is described as a widow.   Cannot find an entry for this family in 1841.

They left Scotland about 1828 and spent about 8 years in Stepney, London but their last daughter Mary Elizabeth was born in 1838 back in Leith.

Trying to find Robert's origins and believe him to be the son of  Robert Dunipace and Margaret Laing baptised 1786 Carmichael.

If anyone else is researching this family I would love to hear from you.

Thanks

Wilma
I have a bible presented to Robert Dunipace in 1880 Chapelton has anyone more info on it thanks
