When Percy Robins and his twin sister Stella were born in 1846 in Paddington, Middlesex, their father, George, was 69, and their mother, Amelia, was 38. After the deaths of their parents in 1847 and 1849 He and his twin Sister Stella were looked after by their House keepers James and Mary Honiball- then at the age of 14 they were living with their Brother George Augustus Robins. He studied at Oxford doing Law- and found a place at Lincon Inn in London .

He married Emily Russell Robins on 18 November 1885 in Richmond, Surrey. They had three children during their marriage. Percy Russell Robins-1887-1965, Constance Ella Louise Robins-1889-1954
and Minnie Evelyn Robins-1891-1956
Percy and Constance were born in Tasmania- after the death of their father Percy Robins in Tasmania Emily Russell Robins came back to England and lived with her Parents in Norfolk
