Esther Elizabeth Garlick

I was hoping someone could help me.  I am looking for Esther Elizabeth Garlick.  I know she married Henry Wittingslow in 1876 in Victoria. She died in Victoria in 1940 aged 84 and her death record says her parents were Henry Garlick and Margaret Murray. I am looking for a birth record (about 1856) and when she came to Australia.  I can't find a birth record in Australia.

That should show her place of birth and narrow down the search area.....

Have you downloaded her marriage (information provided by herself) and/or death (information provided by others - but they obviously knew her parents).
Marriage should give details of place of birth and parents. Death should also provide length of time in Australia. One or both should help to find her birth details.

The only Henry having kids in Victoria is from 1859 - 1863 with wife Margaret DAVIE.  They married 1858.#4472

Louisa 1861
Thomas George 1863 'Blue' probably Blue Mountain - once a mining town somewhere between Castlemaine and Ballarat.

There is an Esther Elizabeth GARLICK being born 'Bluemount' to John Richard GARLICK and Martha DAVIE but not until 1880.

I immediately thought of Sharon as soon as I saw the GARLICK name ..

That is Esther's birth I gave you according to this thread from 2004.

From memory I believe Henry could have been a brother to the Garlicks that tie in with our WHILEY bunch - the two brothers were convicts.  I put Sharon in touch with Debbie Hayes.
