Newcastle Evening Chronicle Obituary Look-Up

Hi,

I have been researching my Great Great Grandparents. I have found that Obituaries have given me more information on my family than any certificates in the past.

Would it be possible for some kind person to lookup 2 obituaries for me please - not sure if any exist !

The details are:

Sarah Ann Batey wife of Ralph Batey of 21 Cross Row, Stargate buried 10th June 1943 aged 79

Ralph Batey husband of the late Sarah A Batey of 21 Cross Row Stargate buried 9th December 1952 aged 90.

Any help would be appreciated.

Evening Chronicle Saturday 6th December 1952
Batey_ Stargate, 21 Cross Row, December 5th, aged 90 years, Ralph dearly loved husband of the late Sarah Batey. Interment Ryton Cemetery on Tuesday. Service Ryton Methodist Church at 2 pm Friends please meet at church

Sorry to but into your thread.

Could you please tell me where you can find out the obituarie's and what years they go from, and also is it only the evening chronicle you can find.

I would like to find out more.

Hello Angela
             The Evening Chronicle back issues are on microfilm in the Local and Family History Centre of Newcastle City Library which at present is in the Exhibition Hall of Newcastle Civic Centre. I checked the lists on the film drawers today
 Evening Chronicle Nov 1885- March 2006
Sunday Sun August 1919-18 Dec 2005
The Newcastle Journal 1950-2006
The Hexham Courant 1976-2006
If you go to the Newcastle City Council website and find Libraries the Family History Centre has its own site which will give more details
