  Hi Dinky

A quick look at uk records shows Eshter was a Travis at marriage to John.

It is sometimes very helpful when anscestors follow a repitious pattern of naming.
At other times it drives you mad in creating confusion.

Glad it was sorted for you on the other thread.
Sue

Hi Jenn

Thank you very much for looking these up for me.

I had posted on another Australia thread where this information was found for me. See Victoria lookups.

I am not sure how to post the link to the thread.

I am now trying to find out what happened to Silas's sister Jessie Kenyon who married Thomas Berry and had two children in Brunswick, Alice b 1889 & Walter 1890. Walter died three months later, I have his death details.

They were back in England by 1901 but I do not know whether they remained there.

Saw your old post.  Not sure if you are still searching for info or if you may have corresponded with my mother in the past.  But Silas Travis Kenyon and Mary Alice (Fenton) Kenyon are my GGGrandparents.  They settled in San Francisco, CA after stops in Australia and a return to England.     They and their three children are buried in San Francisco.  Silas started a basket manufacturing business and dabbled in real estate sales.  I don't have all the info in front of me but, their son Travis died unmarried at a younger age and their two daughters Mary Alice and Amelia married two brothers (Keane).  Mary Alice had one daughter (Alice) and died when she was young.  Amelia had a son (William) and daughter (Amelia).  She died in the mid 1960's.  She was an active women and owned a real estate agency.  She traveled to England and maintained contact with her Fenton family.  Silas' children did meet their Uncle Abraham when he visited the US, but I do not know how much contact Silas kept with his family in Australia after he settled in CA.  But he and his daughter Mary Alice still owned land in Australia up into the 1930's.  My mother has corresponded with some of Silas' brother's descendants in Australia as a result of her genealogy research.
