ROSS prior to 1863

Good morning Members,

I am attempting to find some information regarding members of the ROSS family who emigrated from Scotland [location unknown] to South Africa prior to 1863.

A son, Johan 'John' Jurgens ROSS was born on 23 Dec 1863 at Graaf Reinett, RSA. [parents' names unknown]
Johan married Elizabeth Elzie Susannah CADLE in the 1890s in RSA.

Not much to go on, but, any small snippet of information will be greatly appreciated.
