Well I'm glad that's sorted, I just had no idea and I had the whole page in front of me! Of course it says xxiith, (now that I've been told what it is)but that is the weirdest "H" I've seen! LOL. Don't forget to let me have your postal address so I can send you the photocopies.

It is the baptism record of Thomas Doe. This is my "theory" about his life, but it needs LOTS more research to verify things.

Born in East Lockinge, Berks. The son of John Doe and Joane.
Educated in Cambridge (?) university. Became Clerk of Ovingdene parish in Sussex and married Mercy Underhill 1620 by License in Plumpton. Had three children. Became vicar of Brighthelmston (modern day Brighton) died 1653 in Brighton.
