As Assisted Immigrants Philip, Brickmaker, aged 41 and Susannah aged 36 migrated to New South Wales, Australia travelling on the vessel “Victoria” which arrived on 2/9/1849, Newcastle, NSW. Accompanying them were their children Henry Albert aged 11, James aged 9, Eliza aged 7, John aged 5 and Edward aged 2, the remaining children being born in N.S.W. Philip, Susannah, Henry Albert, James and Eliza were alll listed as being able to read and write. The 2 youngest children could do neither. Philip’s Native Place and County were Iwerne, Dorset, Susannah, Henry Albert and James were Gillingham, Dorset and Eliza, John and Edward were Shaftesbury, Dorset.
