McGuiggan/Duffy/Burns/Maughan/Henson
« on: Thursday 18 March 04 17:20 GMT (UK) »
I'm looking for relatives of my great, great grandfather John McGuiggan (son of Anthony McGuiggan & Jennie Maughan) who was born in Crossmolina on 8/15/1826.

John was married to Catherine Henson (not sure of the spelling), but she died on November 6, 1850 in Crossmolina.

John emigrated to the United States in 1853 and married Catherine Duffy (daughter of John) who was born on 6/11/1836 in Westport, County Mayo.

Eventually John & Catherine moved to Minnesota and had 10 children. If anyone has information regarding any of the individuals listed I would like to hear from you

Hi

Sorry we haven't been able to help you so far on this one.

Have you made any progress,  or do you have any further details that could help someone to find what you are looking for?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes

I haven't made any progress for this side of my family. It's as though there aren't any relatives anywhere! I wish that I had more information to post...   :-[

Sorry to hear that.  Don't give up.  I've gone through several brick walls over the years.

Good luck

My mother-in-law is a McGuiggan from St. Paul, MN. Her father was Gregory, son of William and Mae (Ridenour) McGuiggan. William is one of the sons of John and Catherine (Duffy) McGuiggan. You can contact me by email if you like for more info. My sister has researched this branch of my husband's family somewhat.
