Joseph Tyson & Family
« on: Thursday 23 August 07 14:54 BST (UK) »
Hello could somebody search in the census for a Joseph Tyson, born c1760 in or around Hazelrigg, Newby Bridge, Backbarrow or Ulverston. Could possibly have married a Margaret Bell and had children called Thomas Tyson born 1781 in Hazelrigg and possibly a daughter called Margaret. If anybody could help me with this I would be really grateful!

if Joseph is Thomas father then he was born prior to Josephs marriage.

did you mean Margaret was Thomas dau. or Josephs?

I have a Joseph Tyson as father and Margaret as mother to Thomas Tyson born 1781 in Hazelrigg Cumbria. I have no dates of birth for Joseph or Margaret so was merely guessing at an approximate. On Genes Reunited another member has a Joseph Tyson born around 1760 who married a Margaret Bell (the one in the first reply) who had a daughter called Margaret. Could they be the same if there is no other Joseph Tyson present in the Cumberland marriage index?

i only searched the praishes specified on my first post here so it is possible that there was another Joseph Tyson in another parish.
